ACCAIB Awards 2026 Ceremony
The ACCAIB Awards will hold their awards ceremony on 19 March at the Fundació Miró Mallorca. Promoted by the Association of Art Critics and Curators of the Balearic Islands, the awards recognise the work of art curators and critics and aim to reinforce the role of reflection and critical thinking within the visual arts sector in the Balearic Islands.
On 19 March, the Auditorium of the Fundació Miró Mallorca will host the awards ceremony for the ACCAIB Awards, an initiative of the Association of Art Critics and Curators of the Balearic Islands, which was created to highlight and recognise the professional work of the islands’ curators and art critics.
This cultural event is presented as a meeting place for professionals in the visual arts, as well as for institutional representatives and cultural agents. The awards aim to highlight outstanding exhibition projects and careers linked to art criticism, consolidating a stable platform for recognition within the sector.
Among the categories on offer is the ACCAIB Curatorial Award, which recognises exhibition projects developed during the previous year, and the ACCAIB Criticism Award, which acknowledges the work of analysis, reflection and dissemination of the visual arts. The jury, composed of members of the association, evaluates criteria such as conceptual rigour, capacity for innovation and contribution to contemporary debate.
