Joan Miró wanted Fundació Miró Mallorca to be a way to bring art closer to all public. Its Education and Activities department works everyday to make this wish come true through a program related to contemporary art as a transforming cultural agent.

Our program includes a range of proposals with a clear willingness to attend the diversity: families, students, teachers, adults and the general public; Developing specific activities and transversal projects that aim to give voice to the different groups by establishing the public as an active part of them.
The general objectives of the Department of Education and Activities are:
- Encourage and disseminate artistic knowledge in all the citizen sectors.
- Present contemporary art as a tool to build meaning based on the experience of each one.
- Favor the development of the creativity of the public.
