The Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró a Mallorca recognised as the Cultural Insignia of the Balearic Islands 2025
The Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró a Mallorca has been awarded the Cultural Insignia of the Balearic Islands 2025 during the presentation of the report Lo Mejor de la Cultura 2025, produced annually by Fundación Contemporánea with the support of CREA SGR.

This distinction positions the Foundation as the most outstanding cultural institution in the Balearic Islands, according to the assessment of a panel made up of 443 cultural professionals from across Spain, who evaluated the excellence, track record and impact of the cultural project developed by the institution. The presentation of the report took place at the Palacio de Festivales de Cantabria, at a public event attended by representatives of the country’s leading cultural institutions, sector professionals and media, where the Cultural Insignias were awarded to the most relevant initiatives in each autonomous community.
The Director of the Fundació, Antònia Maria Perelló, accepted the award on behalf of the institution.The Cultural Insignia of the Balearic Islands recognises the work of the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró a Mallorca as a key cultural reference in the region, as well as its essential role in preserving, promoting and revitalising Joan Miró’s artistic legacy, projecting it both nationally and internationally.
With this award, the Foundation strengthens its position as one of the most important cultural institutions in the archipelago and enhances the visibility of Balearic culture within the Spanish cultural landscape.
