Publicity of information regarding obligations of transparency and good governance according to Law 4/2011 of March 31, on Good Governance of the Balearic Islands.
The obligation of informative transparency derived from this law, applicable to public bodies, is that the Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation in Mallorca (hereinafter the Foundation) must publish periodically and updated on its web page the following institutional and economic information:
The Pilar i Joan Miró a Mallorca Foundation is a public foundation, subject to Law 50/2002, of December 26, of foundations and to Law 49/2002, of December 23, on the tax regime for non-profit entities and tax incentives at Patronage, and governed by the Statutes and other legal provisions that are applicable to it under the Protectorate of the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands.
Its registered office is at Carrer Saridakis, 29 07015 Palma.
The Foundation was established 1981, mainly dedicated to broadcast the work of Joan Miró, through the collection of the funds of the Foundation and exhibitions of contemporary art, as well as the performing of complementary activities such as music cycles, seminars, children’s shows, pedagogical activities, etc.
The representation, the government, the administration and the disposition of the founding goods depend on a Board of Trustees, that in its origins was formed by a group of intellectuals, artists, fellows and relatives of Pilar Juncosa and Joan Miró. At the moment, they are a maximum of 25 members, including representatives of the Government of the Balearic Islands, the Ministry of Culture and the City Council of Palma, as well as the artistic and business world.
The members of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation do not receive any kind of remuneration for the performance of the functions of their office under any concept or for other services, with the exception of the director who perceives his remuneration as senior management personnel .
