International Jazz Day Mallorca. April 30th
MIRÓ & JAZZ Thursday, 30 April. "Tocabemolls Jazz band". Fundació Miró Mallorca
The fifteenth edition of the most prestigious jazz event on the international scene, created by Herbie Hancock and UNESCO to strengthen human relations through this musical genre, unique for its roots, its values and its transformative power.
The Miró Foundation Mallorca proposes Miró & Jazz as the theme for the year to celebrate a UNESCO initiative that unites art and music as universal languages of freedom, creativity and dialogue. This proposal highlights the close relationship between Joan Miró and jazz, a genre that, like his work, is born of experimentation, improvisation and a commitment to human values.
This edition, the fifteenth of the most prestigious jazz event on the international scene, created by Herbie Hancock and UNESCO, aims to strengthen human relations through this musical style, unique for its roots, its values and its transformative power. It is also a platform where artists can raise their voices for freedom and equality, and confront racism and discrimination.
