Concert of the Camerata de France
Framed in the Festival "International Meeting of Composers"
The ACA Foundation offers, in its work in support of culture and contemporary music in Mallorca and within the program of the “International Meeting of Composers” of the year 2025, the concert of the Camerata de France conducted by Daniel Tosi, which we will host at the Auditorium of the Fundació Miró Mallorca.
The Camerata de France is conducted by the French composer and conductor Daniel Tosi (Perpignan, 1953), director also of the Conservatoire Perpignan Méditerranée, began his musical studies at the Conservatoire de Toulouse before being admitted to the Conservatoire National de Musique et de Danse in Paris, where he won six first prizes. After the aggregation and doctorate in Musicology at the Sorbonne, he was admitted, first nominated, for the certificate of aptitude for the functions of conservatory director.
In 1999 he obtained the distinction of Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters and in 2004 Sacem distinguished him again by awarding him the Claude Arrieu Prize for his great creative action in the county. In 2011, he founded the “Prospective 22e siècle” festival, a meeting place for contemporary musical creation. Among the major ongoing projects, we highlight the creation and dissemination of his great popular operas: Orphée and Messidor.

The solo violinist is Giovanna Sevi (Foggia, southern Italy, 1999) holder of a master’s degree in violin in July 2020, Giovanna successively perfected her skills at the Koninklijk Conservatorium of Ghent, in Belgium, with Alessandro Moccia, in the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia de Roma, where she obtained the specialization diploma in Chamber Music, and at the IESM of Aix-en-Provence with Olivier Charlier. From 2020 to 2022 Giovanna was a member of the Orchestra of the Teatro Olimpico of Vicenza. She has won competitions for Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, for the Chamber Orchestra of Mantua and, very recently, for the Lucerne Festival Academy.
In October 2021, as violinist of Manfredi Trio (violin, clarinet, piano), he recorded the album Musique a bordo de la riviera for the Da Vinci Classics label, with pieces by Stravinsky, Milhaud, Khatxaturian and Menotti.
