Every year, the CASA&CO exhibition proposes a special emphasis on the joint action of Casa de Velázquez with one of its collaborators. In this second edition, the focus will be placed on the relationship that has been built up over the years between Casa de Velázquez and the Fundació Miró Mallorca, highlighting their common efforts to foster and encourage the development of creative activities.

“In an increasingly globalized world, interconnected through electronic and digital media, it is more necessary than ever to link institutions through the physical meeting of their participants. Casa de Velázquez and the Fundació Miró Mallorca have maintained a relationship for years that summarises the need to experiment and work in the physical spaces of artistic creation, to become aware of the place and to let the rhythm and time of these spaces synthesise and favour the creative process of the artists in residence.
It is in our DNA: the Foundation in its statutes established that one of its main purposes was to promote and disseminate artistic knowledge by facilitating the creative task of future artists, in close and constant relationship with all sectors of society, where reflection, research and training in all artistic manifestations generate knowledge, thought and debate. “
