The Mayor of Palma Receives the Fundació Miró Friend Membership Card

The Mayor of Palma, Jaime Martínez Llabrés, has received the Friend Membership Card of the Fundació Miró, an initiative launched by this cultural institution with the aim of supporting contemporary art and culture and encouraging public participation in the programme of activities held throughout the year.

During the same event, the director of the Foundation, Antònia Maria Perelló, also formally presented the membership card to the Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Culture, Javier Bonet, and to the General Coordinator for Culture and Tourism, Fernando Gómez de la Cuesta.

The presentation of the Fundació Miró Friend Membership Card to the Mayor of Palma and the other municipal representatives coincides with the celebration this Monday, 18 May, of International Museum Day at the Art Spaces, which this year is being held under the theme “Museums Bringing Together a Divided World”.

The subscription to this card is open to all citizens in exchange for an annual fee of 40 euros, and entitles holders to significant benefits, such as free and unlimited admission both to the exhibition of the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró a Mallorca collection and to all temporary exhibitions organised during the validity period, which is established as one calendar year from the date of issue.

Likewise, cardholders receive priority information about openings and other activities in the Foundation’s programme, as well as access to exclusive visits to exhibition projects guided by curators and artists.

Finally, users who acquire the card benefit from a five percent discount on products sold in the shop located at the Foundation’s headquarters, with the sole exception of graphic artwork. In addition, they receive an invitation to attend the annual event that brings together all cardholders.
