AMFF Generation: Learn filmmaking from the inside, at the Fundació Miró Mallorca

Over three mornings, cinema stops being something you watch and becomes something you do. Participants will work with tools that are already part of their everyday lives, such as mobile phones, to discover how an idea can turn into images, rhythm, and storytelling. A direct way to understand how audiovisual stories are created today.

How does it work?

AMFF Generation: Crew (is a limited-capacity open call for young people with creative curiosity and a desire to experiment with audiovisual storytelling.

Throughout the workshop, participants will go through all phases of the creative process, from the initial spark of an idea to the moment it takes shape on screen, combining hands-on practice with key theoretical insights that help them understand cinematic language from within.

They will work in groups to imagine, develop, and shoot their own audiovisual piece. A shared process that transforms everyday tools into a more conscious and refined form of expression, closer to how cinema is truly conceived and made.

The aim is simple: to bring cinema closer to their reality, showing that it is not something distant or inaccessible, but something that can begin right there, with what they already have in their hands.

What makes this workshop special?

For years, making films required access to complex and expensive resources. Today, technology has completely changed that landscape. Anyone with a mobile phone can create.

This workshop builds on that reality and goes one step further by giving shape, criteria, and language to that creative potential. Moving beyond consumption and turning it into expression.

The entire process will be guided by a team with both pedagogical and audiovisual experience, supporting participants closely, opening up new paths, and helping each idea find its own form.

The result?

The audiovisual piece created during the workshop will be screened at the festival, in a real professional setting.

This is where everything clicks. Seeing their work on screen, sharing it with an audience, becoming part of Atlàntida. What started almost as a game becomes something more. Ideas taking shape inside a living, open, ever-evolving cultural space.

– Total duration: 3 days, in the mornings

– From Monday, July 27 to Wednesday, July 29, 2026

– Monday 27th: 10:00 a.m 2:00 p.m

– Tuesday 28: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

– Wednesday 29th : 10:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m
