The Fundació Miró Mallorca will host a very special meeting on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Rata Corner, a space for conversation and literature that will bring together two essential authors on the literary scene in our country: Carme Riera and Joana Marcús.

The event, moderated by Marta Pérez, will take place in the gardens of the Foundation and proposes an intergenerational dialogue around literary creation, the writing processes and the trajectories of two authors who have connected with very diverse audiences.

Carme Riera (Palma, 1948), is one of the most recognized voices in contemporary Catalan literature and is the author of works such as Te deix, amor, la mar com a penyora or Dins el darrer blau, distinguished with numerous literary awards, was elected a member of the Royal Spanish Academy in 2012. Joana Marcús (Fornalutx, 2000) will share her experience as a publishing phenomenon among the new generations of readers, with internationally successful titles such as the Meses a tu lado or Triología del Fuego sagas.

The celebration of Rata Corner’s tenth anniversary thus becomes an opportunity to reflect on literature, new reading habits and the coexistence between different generations of authors and readers, in a unique environment.
