“Homes” Exhibition

The project is the result of a collaboration with the Graphic Works Workshops of the Miró Mallorca Foundation and has been developed with the guidance of workshop master Joan Oliver. The students began the process with a visit to the Foundation, where they learned about the spaces and working methodologies, and later continued their creation at the school through several screen printing sessions guided by the artist himself.

Under the motto “Quan obres la porta…” (“When you open de door…”), the exhibition proposes a reflection on the concept of home, understood as a space that goes beyond the physical realm and incorporates emotional, social and symbolic dimensions. The works —which include screen prints, sculptures and other pieces— explore ideas such as identity, memory, belonging and also the tensions linked to access to housing.

The inauguration will be on Friday, May 8 at 6:00 p.m. in the Cloister of Sant Domingo (Reading Room).

The project will be publicly presented on Saturday, May 23 at 11:00 a.m. in the same space.
