Hugo Race will offer the only musical performance in Spain at the Miró Mallorca Foundation next 21th June.
Hugo Race is now an internationally based producer, composer, performer and author, delivers intense sonic soundscapes that merge folk, experimentalism, electronica and rock.
Hugo Race, formerly of The Wreckery and the Bad Seeds and now an internationally based producer, performer and writer, delivers intense sonic soundscapes that merge folk, experimentalism, electronica and rock. Originally from the 1980’s Melbourne post-punk music scene, Hugo’s eclectic collaborations and bands are spread over several continents. Hugo’s new book ‘Road Series’ describes his musical journey over three decades.
Projects:
The True Spirit – since 1989, 14 albums of ‘trance industrial blues’; the new album ’The Spirit’ on Glitterhouse Records is the band’s most successful release to date. The Spirit was followed by the 10” EP ‘False Idols”, also on Glitterhouse, in November 2015.
Hugo Race Fatalists, a collaboration with Italian soundscape band Sacri Cuori, have a new album ’24 Hours to Nowhere’ scheduled for release on Glitterhouse in 2016.
John Lee Hooker’s World Today with Michelangelo Russo (True Spirit).
Sepiatone with Italian singer songwriter Marta Collica, their third album ‘Echoes On‘ released by Interbang Records in November 2013.
