Opening Concert in Connection with the Exhibition “Reencountering Miró. The magic spark”

Concerts

A cello and piano recital opens the exhibition “Reencountering Miró. The magic spark” with an intimate and evocative musical proposal performed by cellist Julia Tripodo and pianist Yiyang Li.

The concert will take place in the Foundation’s auditorium, with limited seating and invitation-only access. After the performance, attendees will be invited to visit the exhibition and enjoy a closing cocktail. An opening event that brings together music, art and experience, and marks the launch of the new exhibition Reencountering Miró. The magic spark, open to the public from February 11, 2026 to January 17, 2027.

Julia Trípodo (Madrid, 2005) is an Italian-Argentine cellist of exceptional talent and international renown, a winner of major competitions around the world. Her playing is distinguished by a rare combination of technical virtuosity and profound artistic sensitivity, which translates into an intense and mature expressiveness. She made her debut as a soloist at the age of eleven and has performed with major orchestras and at prestigious festivals in Europe and America. She trained at the Reina Sofía Higher Music School and is currently undertaking her undergraduate studies at the Freiburg University of Music, where she is perfecting her technique with Jean-Guihen Queyras, one of the most influential figures in contemporary cello. Her stage presence and communicative skills make every performance a vivid artistic experience, capable of moving and establishing a deep connection with the audience.

Yiyang Li is a pianist trained at the Department of Music, Theatre and Media in Hanover. He has developed an international career from a young age, performing in cities such as New York, Shanghai and other major cultural centres. He has received numerous awards in international competitions, including second prize at the Chopin International Piano Competition for Young Musicians in Poland, a recognition that highlights his technical prowess and artistic presence.
