Joan Miró. La Peinture au Défi – Galerie Gmurzynska

Aquesta setmana ens ha arribat un llibre molt esperat. Es tracta del primer catàleg d’una exposició de Joan Miró gestat en plena pandèmia: Joan Miró. La Peinture au Défi. L’exposició és oberta al públic al Nouveau Musée National de Monaco fins dia 25 daquest mes.

La Galerie Gmurzynska, amb la col·laboració de la Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, Successió Miró i la Fundación Mapfre, ha hagut de superar infinitat d’obstacles perquè aquest projecte veiés la llum. En paraules de Joan Punyet:

Organizing such an exhibition during the time of the global pandemic of Coronavirus is an act of resistance, a statement against the odds, a conviction about the power of art. There has been an unbelievable number of extraordinary obstacles that we have surmounted in a very short period of time, and also terrible uncertainty we live in, during this period of our history. Every day there were new rumors about closing borders, quarantine for passengers, and challenging restrictions. All this is making me state that, at least for me, this has been the most challenging exhibition to organize about my grandfather’s art in my fifty-two years of age.
